Hotels and Motels
With over 350 hotels and motels to choose from within the Orlando area, it is not easy to pick the right place to base your holiday on your first visit to Orlando.
If you are planning on locating your holiday around Universal Orlando, you could choose from their on-site hotels (not cheap but benefits include a free Universal Express pass to skip the queues). Alternatively choose a hotel near Wet’n’ Wild which is only 15mins walk away from Universal Orlando. This end of International Drive is crammed with souvenir shops, though it does feel rather touristy.
If you are choosing a hotel on International Drive I can recommend the location of the hotels and motels featured below, which are in a pleasant tree lined area. Priceline.com offers good rates for flights, hotels and packages, and it is a good site to check comparable options.
If you are planning to base your holiday around Disney there are many hotels to choose from within the Walt Disney World Resort or at Lake Buena Vista which is nearby with good transport links to Walt Disney World.
