Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park located in Florida is Disney’s largest theme park in the world. Combining  animal conservation with Disney magic, Animal Kingdom had over 9.5 million visitors in 2008.

Enter though the animal habitats in the Oasis towards Discovery Island where the  iconic Tree of Life and animal exhibits are located. Kids will love the 4-D film based on Disney/Pixar’s A Bugs Life.

Younger visitors will appreciate Camp Minnie -Mickie where they can meet some of their favorite characters in a rustic Summer camp setting.

Visit Africa to experience an exciting safari through the savannahs and rivers where lions giraffes and elephants roam freely through the acres of habitat at  Kilmanjaro Safaris. Adventurers may trek in search of gorillas at the Pangani Forest Exploration Trail.

Board the Wildlife Express Train from Africa to Rafiki’s Planet Watch to learn more about Disney’s conservation efforts and get close to pet the animals at the Affection Section.

Visit Asia for a refreshing river rapid ride through the rainforest and down a waterfall on Kali River Rapids. Explore the ruins of  an ancient palace inhabited by Komodo dragons and tigers at the Maharajah Jungle Trek. If you are looking for big thrills board a high-speed roller coaster train on Expedition Everest-Legend of  The Forbidden Mountain and catch a glimpse of Yeti!

Travel back 65 million years and visit the dinosaurs at DinoLand USA where younger children can dig up dinosaur bones at The Boneyard play area. Thrill seekers can take a ride on Primeval Whirl a spinning roller coaster ride and board a Time Rover for a tour at Dinosaur into a turbulent  dark ride to save the last dinosaur!

Expedition Everest-Legend of The Forbidden Mountain

Board a high-speed train for an adventure through the Himalayan mountains towards Everest and encounter Yeti! This steel roller coaster races backwards down the mountain, feels fast in the dark at 40mph.  Experience G-Forces  of 3 on backward descent and an 80ft plunge on this unique roller coaster. Choose a seat at the front for a smoother ride or at the back for an intense trip.

Kali River Rapids

For those who want to get wet board a river raft for a journey through the rainforest. Plunge down a 30ft drop, past waterfalls and lush vegetation for 4 minutes of fun filled drenching. Rafts  have a covered storage area for bags and items you don’t want to get wet.
